The festival is held in the Sztrilich Pál Scout Park in Adyliget, near Nagykovácsi in the Buda hills, surrounded by forests and meadows. You can reach the festival in various ways: by festival bus (from Hűvösvölgy and also Széll Kálmán Square), by GreenGo, public transport, bike, taxi, car, even on foot and for festival-goers with mobility issues, we can provide special transfer services based upon prior registration.
This year, we are introducing a new fast travel option: from Széll Kálmán Square directly to the festival entrance. You can arrive at the festival comfortably, quickly, in air-conditioned buses. This bus service only operates between Széll Kálmán Square - Kolorádó. To return from the festival, you can use the regular Kolorádó transfer bus to Hűvösvölgy. Tickets for the Pingrumba (Széll Kálmán Square) - Kolorádó Festival entrance direct route are limited and require timeslot and seat reservations. Get your tickets and more information here.
Daily departure times from Pingrumba, from Thursday to Sunday: 15:00, 16:45, 18:30, 20:15, 22:00. It’s advisable to plan your trip in advance and buy your ticket if you want to take the Pingrumba Széllvész Express, as tickets are filling up quickly. If you book now, you can save some money as ticket prices will rise from 4000 HUF to 4500 HUF during the festival week.
The Kolorádó Buses depart from the Hűvösvölgy bus terminal. You can get there easily by tram 56A or 61 (or with their replacement buses), or by bus 63 during the day, and bus 956 or 963 at night.
The most environmentally friendly four-wheel solution to get to the festival is the GreenGo car-sharing service. If you don’t have the app yet, download the GreenGo app, register, and you’re ready to drive an electric car to Kolorádó. Our parking lot has a dedicated GreenGo parking area where you can end and also begin your rental.
Ride your bike! The distance from Széll Kálmán Square is 12 km. Keep in mind that the route goes through the Buda hills, so you will feel the inclines. The road can be rough in places, with potholes and gravel - so consider the terrain, thin-wheeled road bikes might struggle. You can bike all the way to the festival, where you can leave your bike at the bike rack near the staff parking zone (by the hunter’s lookout). Please make sure to take your bike by Sunday morning 8:00 AM the latest so our staff can start disassembling. The bike parking is free, but we can’t take responsibility for locked bikes.
GPS coordinates: 47.541438, 18.934909
With a car or other motorized vehicle, you can drive to the Kolorádó parking lot, from where you can walk or take the shuttle bus to the festival entrance. Parking costs 3000 HUF per vehicle per entry. The shuttle bus ticket from the parking lot to the festival entrance is 1500 HUF.
Choose the pleasant walking route and breathe along with nature! What can you expect? A green route, a short hike, and a border-crossing point for phone reception. Be sure to have a flashlight (or anything that lights up) if you’re walking after dark.
Our partners this year are FEXI and Főtaxi. If you want to travel conveniently between your home and the festival entrance, these options are for you.
Getting to Kolorádó by Főtaxi and FEXI Taxi: call a car via the Főtaxi or Fexi app (you can find the apps in the App Store, Google Play, but also via the links fotaxi.hu and fexi.hu). This way, you can get to the festival with fixed Budapest taxi rates.
The 56 low-floor CAF trams run to Hűvösvölgy, and from there, since the route to Kolorádó is not wheelchair accessible, we can provide a transfer service for wheelchair users upon prior registration. If you want to use this service, email us by June 28 at @email, and we will get in touch with you. Please include your phone number in the email, and let us know which days you will be attending the festival and what type of equipment you will be using.
Travel safely, avoid accidents, and be kind to each other. See you in Kolorádó!
