SH37 movie screening

37 writers, 37 films, over a hundred actors, a permanent cast. 37 well-known Hungarian playwrights, prose writers and poets have written 20-40 minute etudes from Shakespeare’s works. The works, like Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, use the original work as inspiration for a new contemporary drama: reinterpreting the basic work, possibly revisiting it or highlighting an important philosophical, moral or intellectual element, a character or a scene – focusing on typical moral dilemmas that explore the changes in the state of mind of human beings, the actions of the characters and their effects in stories with which we are all familiar.
