POSTPONING THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL

Dear Kolorádó Community,

​

We have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Kolorádó Festival to 2027.

​

After losing our home at the Scout Park in Nagykovácsi in 2025, we invested a tremendous amount of energy and resources into finding a new location. In Káloz, we found a place that gave us hope and made us believe it was worth continuing the journey. We enthusiastically began preparations, but month after month, new challenges emerged regarding the development of the site and its long-term potential.

The unexpectedly rising costs of building a new festival from the ground up and developing the venue, combined with the market challenges affecting the entire festival industry, have led us to the realization that we could only deliver a version of Kolorádó that would fall short of what our former home represented.

We feel that, with these compromises, we would not be able to give you the experience we envisioned or the one you have come to expect from us. That is why we have decided to postpone this year’s festival and focus instead on creating something next year that will be worthy of both you and us. We are deeply sorry to have reached this decision, but until the very last moment, we did everything we could to make this year’s festival happen.

The future of the festival also depends on your support, which is why it is important what happens with the tickets you have already purchased. All tickets will automatically remain valid for next year’s festival, and we will share more details about the event as soon as possible.

​

After learning about the challenges we have been facing, the organizers of Sziget stepped in to help and offered a generous gesture: anyone who chooses not to request a refund for their ticket will receive a complimentary Thursday day ticket to Sziget, so that no one has to miss out on a festival experience this year. We will contact all ticket holders by email with details regarding refunds and further information.

We are grateful to everyone who bought a ticket, supported us, planned to perform, work, or volunteer, or became part of Kolorádó in any other way.​ Thank you for being with us.
